Troy Denning, también conocido como Richard Awlinson, es un autor y antiguo diseñador de juegos.
Él ha escrito más de veinte novelas, incluyendo Waterdeep, bestseller del New York Times. La mayoría de sus trabajos publicados han sido ficción en los universos de Dungeons and Dragons de Dark Sun y Forgotten Realms.
Denning es un ávido explorador de campo abierto y vive en el sur de Wisconsin con su esposa Andria.
