Una delicada misión queda a cargo de Obi-Wan Kenobi: debe examinar los rumores acerca de que la duquesa neutral Satine de Mandalore está construyendo en secreto una fuerza Separatista. Si esto es cierto, sería un descubrimiento terrible para el Jedi. Conoce muy bien a Satine. Desde su juventud, entre los dos existe una relación íntima.
