El Plastoide era un material usado por los soldados clon y, más tarde, por los soldados de asalto Imperiales. Algunas estructuras de Mos Eisley en Tatooine estaban hechas de este material.

También se utilizaba para producir robustas sillas. Uno de los lugares donde se encontraron esas sillas era en la nave de la Alianza Galáctica Almirante Ackbar.
